Mwepu toasts Salzburg win

MIDFIELDER Enock Mwepu has expressed excitement after he helped Red Bull Salzburg win the Austrian Bundesliga.
Mwepu said lifting the trophy would rank among his greatest achievement in his footballing career.
“It’s an amazing feeling to win a big trophy with a big team. I am grateful and will always treasure this moment. I am also happy that I played my best sand helped my club win the trophy with games to spare,” Mwepu said.
Mwepu and compatriot Patson Daka both play for the Austrian outfit after they left Napsa Stars and Power Dynamos respectively and also feature for Red Bull feeder club Liefering.
Salzburg put behind their UEFA Europa Cup exit suffered at the hands of French side Olympique de Marseille to beat second placed SK Sturm Graz 4-1 on Sunday to lift their fifth consecutive title with unassailable 77 points.
Graz opened the scoring in the 41st minute after Peter Zulj gave the visitors a shock lead but Mwepu rose to the occasion and turned provider when he found Hee-Chan Hwang to level the scores at the stroke of halftime.
Salzburg were untouchable in the second half as goals from Duje Caleta-Ca, Jerome Onguene and Munas Dabbur killed any fight back Graz had.
