A NEW twist has emerged in succession controversy regarding the Ndubeni chieftaincy after some royal family members took the matter to court to have the succession wrangle resolved.
Senior chief Chiwala, who chairs the Lamba Chiefs’ Council disclosed this to the Sunday Times yesterday and described the move as unfortunate.
He said the search for a new chief in Masaiti district had advanced but that some family members prematurely went to court making it difficult for a new chief to be installed and end a long and bitter feud over the throne.
The family members to the late Senior Chief Ndubeni who died on November 2, 2015 after being at the helm for 39 years, have been left divided over the question of who should succeed him. Read more
