President Edgar Lungu has repeated his call for an all-inclusive dialogue process and expressed his disappointment at the on-going differences between the main facilitators of the programme.
President Lungu said the on-going gridlock between the three national Church organisations and the Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue was not good for moving the process forward.
Speaking as he left Addis Ababa for home on Thursday night after attending meetings focused on helping to resolve the electoral dispute in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr Lungu said he had received reports of unresolved issues between the facilitators of the national dialogue and reconciliation process.
He said there was need to resolve the impasse between and to ensure that the process involved all concerned parties without leaving anyone behind.
The president said the process should not be dependent on one person, and it was important there be neither winners nor losers.
This is according to a statement issued by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Ethiopia Ing’utu.
Mr Lungu arrived in Lusaka in the early hours of yesterday.
