OPERATIONS at the Ndola passport office have been paralysed after some unknown people stole six computers and a hard drive used to store information for printing passports, in what authorities suspect is an inside job.
From Monday, people seeking to obtain passports or renew the documents were being turned away because of the stolen equipment.
The theft of the hard drive together with six newly-acquired computers happened on Sunday, the second such incident in less than two years at the sensitive office located just a block away from the Ndola Central Police station.
