POLICE have opened investigations into a scam in which some unknown people are swindling members of the public using fake documents purported to be from the office of Vice-President Inonge Wina.
The tricksters are demanding K1,200 from their victims through social media using fake job application and appointment letters purporting to have been sent by the Vice-President.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said the swindlers have forged a passport bearing Ms Wina’s names and have also forged immigration documents purporting to be application forms and appointment letters.
