PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has cautioned mine investors against arm-twisting tactics once they start making profits.
The President said it was unfortunate that when mining investors were negotiating with Government, they expressed humility and shared good aspirations but soon after making profits, the companies became arrogant.
Mr Lungu said this when he met officials from Lubambe Copper Mines at State House yesterday.
He said mines should show the same humility when they exhibited when negotiating with Government even after making profits.
“Let us not blackmail or arm-twist each other,” President Lungu said.
