Cotton body calls for value addition industries

THERE is need to advocate for both local and international investors to establish industries that will promote value addition and job creation in the cotton subsector.
Cotton Board of Zambia (CBZ) senior cotton inspector Nyambe Kwalombota said in an interview that investments should be channelled towards the setting up of factories and industries for the purpose of value addition.
Mr Kwalombota said it was important as a country to value add the cotton that was grown, adding that Zambia should be working on retaining jobs that were being exported as result of cotton that was going out.
