MINES Minister Richard Musukwa has said that as much as the liquidation of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) is in court, Government is still open to progressive discussions on an amicable exit of the investor, Vedanta.
Mr Musukwa said in a statement yesterday that Vedanta had lost its social licence to operate in Chililabombwe and Chingola.
The minister said Vedanta did not exploit the primary sources of ore materials and neglected to pay suppliers and contractors.
