SIX suspected robbers from Tanzania believed to have been targeting specific nationals housebreaking and robbery activities in Kitwe have been arrested.
The police have arrested suspects following a spate of burglaries at the weekend in which Chinese, Indians, and other non-Zambian nationals were targeted.
Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga confirmed the arrests yesterday which happened between Sunday 15:00 hours and 19:00 hours at house number 15 Lunsemfwa Drive, in Riverside.
Police swung into action after Abishek Acherya, 36, reported that unknown criminals broke into his house and stole two Accer laptops valued at K20,000, a Samsung tablet, US$8,000 and K12,000 cash which was in a safe, a passport , resident permits, yellow fever certificate and four wrist watches.
