PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu and and two of his predecessors have paid glowing tribute to Zimbabwe’s first head of state Robert Mugabe who died yesterday at the age of 95, in Singapore after a long illness.
Mr Lungu described Mr Mugabe, whom he loved to refer to as ‘Sekuru’ (grandfather) as a fearless revolutionary; Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia’s founding father and whose government sheltered Mr Mugabe and a long list of leaders of African liberation movements described him as a ‘brother and colleague’ in the struggle for independence.
