Ministers lose ‘pay-back’ case?

THE Constitutional Court has dismissed an application by the Patriotic Front (PF) asking the court to set aside part of its judgment on the order for ministers to repay salaries and allowances they got after Parliament dissolution in 2016.
Ruling on an application by the Law Association of Zambia raising some preliminary issues to determine whether a party could seek to reopen a case without seeking leave of court Judge Enock Mulembe said yesterday the court upheld the argument that the 64 ministers needed permission of the court before filing a motion asking it to revisit the case.
