MALAYSIA-BASED swimmer Wina Mwamba ensured Zambia finished the last day of the CANA Zone-Four championship in Botswana with a medal after he mint a bronze medal in 200m butterfly.
Mwamba clocked two minutes 24 seconds to finish third in the race won by Mauritian Victor Ah Yong who swam two minutes 14 seconds while Namibia’s Mikah Burger timed two minutes and 17 seconds.
The result left Zambia eighth overall with 18 medals broken down into four gold, six silver and eight bronze.
This was a step-up from the last outing where Zambia finished in ninth place with a haul of 13 medals.
