FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) executive committee member Kabaso Kapambwe has bemoaned the politics that have engulfed the game ahead of next month’s elections.
Kapambwe, who is to contest the vice-chairmanship of the Copperbelt Province, warned that there were a lot of power-hungry administrators who would stop at nothing to be in football.
He said this when he addressed Ndola-based football councillors where he sounded the warning that everyone should be vigilant ahead of the elections.
“What is happening in football is unfortunate. These fights and politics are as a result of people being power-hungry and want to be there all the time. Let’s ensure we vote in selfless leaders who have the interest of the game at heart not for selfish reasons,” Kapambwe said.
