PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged technocrats in the seed industry to find lasting solutions on how the fall armyorm can be controlled through dressing of seeds with appropriate agro-chemical.
Mr Lungu said, equally, special attention should be given to the development of drought resilient crop varieties, in view of the effects of climate change.
He said he was impressed with a number of strides that had been made in the seed industry, as could be seen by the growing number of private companies dealing in seed production, research, processing and
marketing of seed locally and outside Zambia.
