Mopani workers want new owners

Some of the thousands of Mopani Copper Mines workers sent on leave last week as operations were suspended have asked the government to find other investors to take over the assets in Kitwe and Mufulira.
The miners say Government needs to find four different investors that would separately oversee operations of various shafts located in the two towns now owned by Swiss-based Glencore, the promoters of MCM.
