A FORMER North-Western Province assistant police commissioner and a retired officer-in-charge have been arrested for alleged theft of gold ore valued at more than K20 million.
Times of Zambia sources two other serving police officers and nine others identified as belonging to a political party that have also been arrested in connection with the suspected crime.
The officers are also facing charges of destroying evidence and theft by public servant.
