A THIRTY-YEAR-OLD banker of Lusaka who is accused of stealing K1.2 million from Atlas Mara has been freed after the Director of Public Prosecution entered a nolle prosequi.
Regis Phiri, of Makeni, was facing 12 counts of theft by servant and fraudulent false accounting but was freed yesterday after the court discontinued his case following the DPP’s decision to enter a nolle prosequi.
Phiri allegedly committed the offences between June and July, last year.
