THE National Olympic Committee (NOC) is optimistic of reaping medals at the Olympic Games as majority of the athletes heading to Tokyo qualified to get there. And the first batch of Zambian athletes is expected in Tokyo on July 15. NOC general secretary Boniface Kambikambi said in an interview that unlike in the past when athletes went to the Olympics as wildcards or by invitation, this time around the majority qualified out of hard work.
Kambikambi said looking at the qualified athletes and teams, the NOC was confident of reaping at least a medal in Tokyo.
