10-year-old scoops best female karateka award

MIGHTY Conquerors’ 10-year-old Lukwesa Chola yesterday scooped the 2013 best female karateka award during the Zambia Martial Arts Association (ZaMAA) annual awards held at Italian School in Lusaka.

 As Chola was bagging the female award, Michael Mwansa of Kumuchanga won the best male karateka award with Ernest Musenge from Mufulira scooping the male karateka award while Lukamantano emerged as the best club of the year.

The best coach of the year award went to Enock Chabala from Mikango Barracks as Alex Shimpondo from Mighty Conquerors scooped the match official of the year award.

 And ZaMAA spokesperson, Hanif Moonga said 2013 has been a successful year as the association managed to fulfil most of its programmes on the calendar and thanked Built Environment Engineering Services Limited (BEES) for their continued support towards the sport
