JUSTICE Minister Mulambo Haimbe says the Government is concerned about the current situation of legal counsel in public institutions opting to work in isolation and not consulting the Attorney General’s office.
Mr Haimbe said it had also been observed that in some instances the lawyers working in Government institutions had either misled or misinformed the public on matters pertaining to their functions and mandate.
Mr Haimbe said the legal counsel in public institutions chose to work in silos and did not want to consult the Attorney General’s Chambers on legal issues that the Government had an interest in.
