GOSPEL artiste Marvin Kasomo, 28, of the B3 trio, is in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the University Teaching Hospital after being involved in a road traffic accident near Landless Corner in Chibombo last Friday.
UTH public relations manager Mwenya Mulenga said Mr Kasomo was on life support, adding that the hospital medical authorities were trying their best to attend to him.
“He had serious head injuries, so his condition is critical at the moment,” Mr Mulenga said.
Mr Mulenga, who could not state the extent of the damage, said head injuries were delicate but was hopeful that his condition would improve.
Mr Kasomo’s family has appealed to well-wishers to help evacuate him to South Africa for specialist treatment.
The musician’s twin brother Mark said K28,000 was needed for the evacuation to South Africa.
“We have been making calls to South Africa and they gave us that amount. We need all the help we can get to help my brother,” he said.
Messages of goodwill and prayers on social media have continued for the quick recovery of the artiste known for his celestial voice.
At the time of the accident, Mr Kasomo was coming from Kabwe where he had gone to visit his mother when he hit into a parked truck after overtaking another truck.
Other members of B3 include Mark Kasomo and Milton Nkhoma.
