THE death of former Konkola Blades and Under 20 National team coach Keagan Mumba is a great loss to the soccer fraternity and the nation at large. Keagan was a fearless and principled person who sacrificed his job to speak for the voiceless coaches and players.
He went a step further by offering checks and balances in the way football was being run in the country which earned him a 90-day ban from football activities by FAZ.
As if that was not enough his employers Zanaco also suspended him and we dont know if his suspension was lifted at the time of his death.
In another development, I am appealing to the Kalusha Bwaya-led FAZ to seriously think of lifting the life ban slapped on Simaata Simaata in the interest of the game of football in the country.
