Ba Saga ponders setting up acting institution

AFTER many people have tried and failed to put up an acting school industry in Zambia, musician Che Mutale popular known as Ba Saga feels he can turn the historical tables round! But the question is; can he and with which resources?
Anyway, not to hold his mouth Saga says he is planning of setting up a film industry school in Zambia to train talented actors and actresses in the industry.
In an interview with the DStv entertainment, Ba Saga says time is ripe for the country to have an institution that can train actors who have the enthusiasm to excel in the entertainment industry.
“I am currently working on some short films with Owas Mwape. These films will be released soon. Unfortunately in Zambia there is no university that trains actors and the film industry in general.  That’s why I intend to set up a training school,” he says.
The chanibaba singer reviewed that he is back in the studio working on his yet to be titled album which is scheduled to hit the market in October.
“Iam also working on a new album which is earmarked  for release this October… as my fans may be aware, October is my birthday, hence the intention of offload the album as a gift to them, The timing will be interesting as the month coincide with the country’s jubilee celebrations,” says Saga.
Since coming on the music scene in 1997 under the Muvi pose’ with his contemporaries such as James ‘Chimanyazi’ Ngoma and Keith Mutale, Saga has arguably cemented name among his fan base.
The singer who is also an employee of Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) in Livingstone, is credited for releasing projects such as most wanted  and chanibaba which was released in 2002.
Meanwhile, Saga has advised young people intending to pursue a career in music to concentrate on their education in case the industry fails them.
“Young people with intentions of  making a career in music should first of all concentrate on school and finish  their studies  so that incase anything went wrong  with music  , they will have something to fall back on.
Saga attended schools such as Woodlands A primary school and Kabulonga Boys Secondary school.
He did tertiary courses in auto mechanics at Lusaka Business and Technical college  and video production at ZAMCOM.
