Kombats builds good morals through lyrics

HAVING worked with big artistes such as Nasty D, Martin Mushinge is steadily proving to be a force to reckon with.
Mushinge aka Martin Kombats has produced a 10-track album dubbed My Light recorded by Zamrock Entertainment.
The album has dance hall songs such as C5 na hulle, life mu ghetto, dance and hall emperor.
The album which will be released in October this year already is enjoying air play on radio stations.
“The lyrical content in my album is to build good morals and encourage unity through music, he says.
Mushinge has had privileges of working with different record labels such as One Love Studio of Chilala Hakalima, Firehouse studio of Petersen and Zamrock entertainment and being dressed by Rimms Identity.
Internationally, he draws his inspiration from dance hall legends such as Sizzla, Shaba Ranks, Busy Signal, Bounty Killer and Don Carlos.
The young artist is trying to do a project with the Jamaican artist George Geo Spencer under Alwezi Music. He joined Nasty D’s Zambezi symphony (Zambezi yeka yeka) in 2004.
With inspiration from Local artistes such as Maureen Lilanda, Khuzwayo Chisi, Nasty D and M C Wabwino, Kombats has managed to do a few shows across the country with dance hall Kings such as Petersen.
