RED Arrows today take on Green Buffaloes in a must win encounter to keep alive their hopes of retaining the Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) national league title.
The champions trail league pacesetters Nkwazi by five points and this afternoon rescheduled Week 16 clash puts the airmen in a must-win situation that will see them cut the lead or possibly go level on points should the airmen win with a bonus point.
Third placed ‘Men At Work’ Diggers on 30 points guest Chibuluma in Kalulushi needing a win to keep their hopes of reclaiming the title alive in what promises to be an exciting tie.
Buffaloes v Arrows
Arrows will apart from wanting to secure maximum points be also out to settle scores with a Buffaloes side that damped them out of the David Abel Ray Phiri (DARP) International Rugby championship last weekend.
Having comfortably won the reverse fixture 26-11, morale should be high in the Arrows camp heading into this encounter against the army side that has nothing to play for than finishing on a good standing on the league table.
Arrows coach Maybin Chishimba will bank on the likes of Terry Kaushiku, Patson Chola and Edward Mumba to get that victory while Buffaloes on 17 points, will be happy to blunt their rivals title ambitions especially when players like Fernand Kashimoto, Danny Mulumbwa, Larry Kaushiku, Stanley Kalasa and Neven Kunda are on top of the game.
Chibuluma v Diggers
Diggers will be out to make amends after failing to win the DARP title exiting in the semi final stage following a bitter 5-0 defeat to Lusaka and nothing will excite fans than a win over Chibuluma to get their title chase back on track.
Benaya Mukwamba, Ackim Mushota and Ntumba Besa will be among the players expected to lead the Diggers attack to get that needed win over Chibuluma.
