PRODUCERS of the highly anticipated Big Brother Africa Hotshots, Endemol and M-net, have announced that an alternative venue to beam the show from has been secured and that the reality show finally kicks off next month October.
M-Net and Endemol SA have spent days searching both in South Africa and outside for an alternative venue in which to produce Season nine of the highly popular Big Brother Africa reality show.
“Following the devastating fire on September 2, 2014 at the Big Brother house in Johannesburg and after exploring all possible options, the team is delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month,” M-Net says.
In finding the alternative venue, a multitude of factors had to be considered that included the complex technical requirements, logistics, and technical crews and satellite link facilities which all formed part of the challenge.
However, M-Net is delighted to assure all its Big Brother fans that their favourite reality show will launch without fail despite not mentioning the new location.
The producers are also thankful to the fans from across the continent for their support during the days of waiting.
MultiChoice Zambia Public Relations Manager Mwika Malindima is happy that the show is finally on cards and that nothing in terms of Zambian representation and style has changed.
“As MultiChoice Zambia, we understand how much our subscribers love and follow this leading reality show and it is delighting to confirm its launch next month,” he says.
As for speculations that Zambia’s renowned R&B musician Marcky 2 is Zambia’s envoy in this year’s Big Brother Africa competition, only time will tell as Big Brother surely enjoys surprises.
The gutted Big Brother house is based at the Sasani Studios in Johannesburg and selected housemates from 14 countries are already in South Africa waiting for the new launch day.
According to the producers, the show is certainly set for October 2014, with all the drama, intrigue, and suspense and emotions taking centre stage, it will surely give the anticipating fans a good answer why it is themed HOTSHOTS!
