Letters to the Editor -LogoIT is sad that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Kalusha Bwalya has distanced himself and the association?from the fiasco surrounding the chaotic travel arrangements for the Chipolopolo boys to Cape Verde.
The Ministry of Sport also needs to urgently address the degenerating playing field at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The playing surface is bumpy and the grass is patchy. The grass has turned brown due to the lack of water.
It is similar to ‘Kalukungu’ playing fields in most city slums, fit for ‘chimpombwa’ footballers as a whole. Perhaps, Ndola Golf Club should come to its rescue and at least turn the grass to green!
Let the nation know that the recent chaotic travel arrangements to Cape Verde have repercussions too frightening to contemplate for the Chipolopolo Boys’ qualifying chances.
Let the nation also not blame the players for Zambia’s loss to Cape Verde.?It’s not their fault. Fans  should blame the Government officials for not doing their work at the required time.
Perhaps Zambia’s football fans are used to travel fiascos because this is not the first time that they have been let down by the ministry.
Remember the Zambia vs Ghana encounter in Kumasi? T
he travel?arrangements were equally shambolic.
Anyway, all the best to the Chipolopolo Boys.

Chingola shopping mall: I weep for the environment

REVEREND  Isaac W. Nyendwa is delighted about the shopping mall up coming opposite the Chingola Central Police. The environment had to be degraded for a shopping mall when the cry all over the World is about preserving nature. This place was a park with very big indigenous trees which had  to be cut down. The area is also a source of a stream.?Has the developer been made to replant the trees??I wonder whether there was even an environmental impact assessment done.
Concerned Resident,
Chingola.

All Christians must show love

CHRISTIANS in Zambia need to be practical like the  apostles of Jesus Christ used to be, more especially on the issue of love which is a key to Christianity (1 John 4:7 – 8).
The apostles of Jesus did a lot of signs and wonders, meaning people were receiving help from God. People will only involve themselves in Evangelism when they are helped with the correct teachings of the apostles of Jesus
Christ himself (Acts 2;42) and (2 John 1:9-10). Let’s put much effort to be teaching according to the scriptures in the Bible bearing in our minds that without Jesus Christ in  Christians, all teachings and debates will not help us.
We have the same God and the same Bible, so let’s work together  to expand the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ through fellowships with the ministers of God in various towns and have revelations  (Acts 13:2), No doubt we are in a blessed nation and  let’s prove it through the word of God, (Acts 14:8,  Acts 2:37 – 42)
Thanks
