PARTIOTIC Front (PF) national chairperson Inonge Wina has called for unity among party members to harness co-existence in the ruling party.
Ms Wina also advised party members to desist from the habit of responding to allegations leveled against them in the Press.
“We are trying to bring sanity and unity in the party and we are very determined that this party should continue in Government with one voice,” Ms Wina, who is Gender and Child Development Minister, said.
She said the vision of the PF was to be in power for a long time and it would not help the party and the nation if members continued squabbling against each other.
“We feel that as a new party which has only been in power for three years, we look forward to another 15 years of governance as the PF under the leadership of President Michael Sata. There is need for unity,” Ms Wina said.
She advised members of the party to stop commenting on every report in the media, especially negative ones leveled against them.
“We should not comment on anything that appears in the media, we want to build, we have to be sensitive on anything we say against each other,” Ms Wina said
Ms Wina was also happy over the recent by-election victories in Mkushi South, Vubwi and Zambezi West, saying the popularity of the party was growing, going by the results where it was breaking ground in the opposition strongholds.
She said the victories by the ruling party in the just-ended by-elections were a sign of confidence people had in the party due to the developmental works taking place in all parts of the country.
