VARIOUS local artistes are tomorrow expected to make an appearance at Hone FM radio‘s 11th anniversary bash at Longridge junction in Chilanga.
Among the artistes that have been lined up to woo fans are the likes of B-Flow, Kan2, Slap Dee, T-Sean , Bob East, Ruff Kaida, Chef 187and Dalisoul.
One of the organisers of the event, George Phiri tells DStv entertainment that the significance of the event is meant to celebrate with the young ones the 11 years of the radio station’s existence .
“The music event is a family show which is intended to  give an opportunity to  kids to come and watch various artistes performing at a live concert since they cant go to night clubs where these musicians normally hold their shows,” said Phiri.
He noted that from its inception in 2003, the venue for the annual music festival has never changed as Longridge junction was convenient enough for performances with kids in attendance.
According to the organisers, children will have the opportunity to dance to the music of their adorable stars for free, while adults will pay a token of K20  and are assured of freebies such as music CDs.
The concept of the now popular musical feat is an initiative of Chenda Miselo aka Master LT, host of one of the most listened to Zambian music show aired every Saturday mornings on Hone FM.
The dreadlocked Master LT is credited to be among the pioneers and promoters of local talent through the playing of indigenous music on the college radio station.
Mid this year, a music winter bash was organised where a variety of performances from local artistes was showcased.
With the prevailing baking temperatures that are characterising the summer season, attendees will be hoping to ‘cool off’ with some energising  music.
