• Despite being a hard tackling defender, Mwiinde never accumulated yellow or red cards throughout his playing and coaching career.
• He broke his leg three times in 1971, 1972 and 1973, prompting his retirement from football that saw him miss out on the 1974 AFCON
• He became Zambia’s youngest coach at 22 years old after obtaining a basic coaching certificate in 1974.
• Mwiinde was part of the 1971 Seoul Olympics team.
• As assistant coach to Peter Kaumba, Mwiinde saw the under-23 squad qualify to the All Africa Games in Abuja, Nigeria in 2003 and Algiers, Algeria in 2007.
• He pioneered the introduction of FAZ division one and two football in North Western Province.
