The show that was slated to kickoff at 19 hours, did so on the dot surprising and impressing many who are tired of the distasteful time stealing in the name of so-called “Zambian time” The show kicked off at exactly 19:00 with comedian Kapembwa setting the tone of the evening before Topsy Sikalinda seized the stage with completely new material not synonymous with his signature of a police officer.
Many who have watched Topsy would agree that what they expected of him that evening was his rib cracking police headlines interpretation comedy which seems to always have e a fresh angle but surprisingly that was not to be the case until K- Star was called upon to offload his material.
It was clear that the audience had certain comedians in mind that they were anxious to see on stage because when Bob Nkosha was called upon, the cheers went high.
He was not in his signature Dorika Ndaifulila outfit but managed to send the audience into fits of laughter proving a pointy that he is senior in the industry.
It was a night of surprise because even the award winning gospel musician Abel Chungu caught many by surprise that he too could do stand up comedy.
But wait a minute, the audience was treated to yet another frenzy moment went young upcoming talent in the name of Collins, came up the state with his usual mimicking of high profile personalities.
But what killed the audience with laughter was when he imitated Patriotic Front Secretary General Edgar Lungu during his emotional speech delivery at late president Sata’s funeral at the Hero’s Stadium The night was wrapped up by yet another experienced name Chibwe Katebe just as though saving best for last.
