By CHARITY MOONGA –
ACTING President Guy Scott has sworn in four high court judges.
Those sworn in were Mwamba Chanda, Yvonne Chembe, Mwila Chibwe-Kombe and Lishomwa Nawa.
The swearing in ceremony, which took place at State House, was witnessed by acting chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda, Justice and Defence Minister Edgar Lungu, Information Minister Joseph Katema and Gender Minister Inonge Wina.
Others were Information permanent secretary Chanda Kasolo, Lusaka Province Minister Phillip Kosamu and other top Government officials.
Dr Scott urged the Judges to uphold the Constitution of Zambia.
As a President, he did not anticipate problems but trusted that the Judges would uphold the Constitution.
The Judges should keep up law and order and constitutionality as they carried out their duties.
He said he would also uphold the Constitution of Zambia until January 20, 2015, when the elections would be held.
The Constitution and the law would be his guide as he led Zambia through the transition period.
