The weekend after the festive season recorded reasonable calmness in the ever-busy and noisy cosmopolitan city of Lusaka and perhaps other
major cities as most entertainers were still recovering from the New Year’s Eve bone-breaking fiesta.
Most of the prominent musicians and entertainers even preferred switching their phones off to make sure they had a total rest over the weekend.
But the New Year of 2014 is here and unavoidable with seemingly promising huge offerings from these entertainers of which many have been waiting to theme their releases with the ‘New Year’ tag.
Studios are busy concluding their projects yet to be released early this year.
Now there is just one offering that might just grab the audience by storm.
“Nathan Nyirenda’s latest 2014 two-album release” undoubtedly he is one of the highly celebrated gospel sensations in the country such that his announcement of a new project usually puts his fans of the adage of the waiting benches simply because he would not disappoint them.
Nathan says he is working on a somewhat captivating project of compiling hymns in different languages that make favourite in most Episcopal churches.
He says he has put together 10 captivating hymns that will come as an album and 10 smooth jazz tracks in which his unmatched saxophone skills will greatly be appreciated.
He says during the past year, he has intensified his saxophone skills such that huge corporate organisations, weddings to mention but a few
find his elegant skills extremely useful.
As Nathan prepares for these long awaited albums, he is making an earnest appeal to the law enforcers to make sure that just as they made strides towards curbing the vice of piracy through the introduction of the hologram, they should also follow up by apprehending
those found wanting.
Nyirenda has chosen to keep the name of the two albums close to his chest until the launch days.
