By CHATULA KAMPO –
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Kasama Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba also known as ‘GBM’ has predicted victory for United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema in the forth coming presidential by-election.
Mr Mwamba said he was confident that UPND would emerge victorious in the forth-coming January 20, presidential by-election.
He said Zambians will prove him right on his decision to support Mr Hichilema in the forth-coming election as all the people he supports never lose.
Mr Mwamba said this during a campaign rally for UPND at Mushili grounds in Ndola yesterday to drum up support ahead of the January 20 by- elections.
He said he supported late President Michael Sata and that he was confident that the candidate he was supporting this time would also scoop the January 20 election.
Meanwhile, UPND national chairperson Mutale Nalumango said at the same function that her party was denouncing violence.
Ms Nalumango said UPND would unite the country once elected into power, adding that the party was not tribal as it would be seen from the people that were endorsing its presidential candidate.
Former First Lady Maureen Mwanawasa said UPND would break all chains of poverty by ensuring that farmers are well supported and that the education and health sector is improved.
Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Members of Parliament (MP)Elijah Muchima for Ikelenge, Ronnie Shikapwasha for Kembe and Felix Muthali for Lunte also predicted victory for Mr Hichilema during the same rally.
