Mr Lungu urged Zambians in the diaspora to avoid commenting on the Internet or getting information on social media on matters of national importance that they did not fully understand.
President Lungu said when he met Zambians living in Angola on Friday evening that Zambians living abroad should avoid taking to social media on matters they did not fully understand.
“Some Zambians have not read the Draft Constitution but they want it like yesterday. The roadmap is definitely there but I cannot speak on the issue because I am a President,” he said.
He said Zambians in the diaspora should not concentrate on the negative things that were being said on social media but find ways of investing in Zambia.
Mr Lungu said Zambians should take advantage of the warm relations between Zambia and Angola and boost trade.
He said it was not good for Zambians to be destitutes once they returned home and therefore people living out of the country should find ways of investing in Zambia.
The President said Justice Minister Ngosa Simbyakula would soon release the official roadmap on the Constitution making process.
The time for campaigning, Mr Lungu said, was over and now was the time to act on the promises made.
Mr Lungu said Zambians in Angola should partner with Angolans and identify businesses they could invest in and employ other people.
On the waiving of visas, Mr Lungu said he was aware of the limiting factors that affected Zambians and Angolans that wanted to undertake trade ventures.
He said Government had engaged the Angolan government to see how best traders from either country could visit the other country without using a visa.
Earlier, First Lady Esther Lungu urged the Zambians living in Angola to be united and show a positive picture of the country.
Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba urged Zambians to build houses in Zambia while Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Minister Yamfwa Mukanga urged them to visit Zambia regularly.
Meanwhile, Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos has commissioned the refurbished Benguela Railway and train in Luau in Moxico Province.
He launched the railway with President Edgar Lungu and DRC president Joseph Kabila yesterday afternoon.
Angola has invested $1.9 billion and$ 3.5 billion in the Lobito corridor that integrates Zambia, Angola and DRC.
On his departure to Zambia, President Lungu said the challenge lay with Zambia and the rest of the region to tap into the Angola dream.
“Benguela offers the shortest, cheapest and reliable route from North Western and Western parts of Zambia to the rest of the world,” Mr Lungu said.
He said Zambia was intensifying efforts to establish a railway from Mongu to Benguela.
