By ADRIAN MWANZA –
A KENYAN prophet has urged Zambian clergy to desist from preaching about prosperity but concentrate on winning lost souls back to God and spreading his Word.
Prophet David Owour of Ministry of Repentance and Holiness said it was unfortunate that many men of God were indulging in activities that were despicable in the eyes of God.
He said the Church in Zambia needed to be cleansed because most of the clergy had been compromised by the devil.
Prophet Owour said many pastors in Zambia and the world over were more interested in prosperity than serving the lost flock.
He said God was using him to denounce and expose all the fake men of God who had selfish agendas and not that of the Word of God.
Prophet Owour said people were now buying miracles because pastors only prayed for those that were offering them a lot of money.
“It is very unfortunate because people are now in the habit of buying miracles from a pastor and those that can’t afford are not attended to,” Prophet Owour said.
He warned the Church against abusing the Grace of God but that they should concentrate on building Christianity, especially that Zambia was a Christian Nation.
Prophet Owour said it was sad that some renowned pastors were going to witchdoctors to get supernatural powers to use in order to heal people.
“It is a well-known fact that some pastors frequent witch doctors in order to get healing powers to use in church,” he said.
Prophet Owour said he would take time to engage political leaders and other stakeholders in order to promote peace in Zambia.
