AGLOW International has said women need to play a more significant role in impacting society through imparting spiritual and socio-economic knowledge on citizens.
The organisation is hosting a conference at Mulungushi International Conference Centre and has lined up a number of local and international speakers to impart spiritual and socio-economic skills to participants that have been drawn from 25 countries in Africa.
AGLOW International –Zambia Chapter chairperson for publicity Julian Mwila said in an interview that speakers at the conference had been carefully selected to impart skills on participants  that would make them game changers in line with the conference theme for this year.
“This conference brings speakers from various professional backgrounds, who have known God to have worked in their lives and will impart this knowledge on others to be game changers also,” Ms Mwila said.
Ms Mwila said First Lady Esther Lungu is expected to attend the conference today.
Executive director of the International Field for AGLOW International, Jervae Brooks said the message at the conference is aimed at empowering individuals who should make an impact on their families communities and the nation.
Ms Brooks appealed to men and women to turn up in numbers and benefit from the knowledge that will change their lives forever.
The organisation has been in existence since 1967 and has spread to 172 countries worldwide.
The conference is being held under the theme, ‘21st Century All Africa Game Changers’.
Among the speakers include Ms Brooks from the United States of America, Tukiya Kankasa-Mabula, the deputy Governor of the Bank of Zambia, Mishesk Nyirenda from Zambia and Dianne Dejong from Holland.
The conference is held once every four years in Africa.
