By JULIUS PHIRI –
shoe polish has been seized from traders in Chipata District.
Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Eastern Province investigator Emmanuel Zulu confirmed the seizure yesterday.
Mr Zulu said the Savannah Shine shoe polish was confiscated because the tins of polish did not bear a name where they were manufactured from.
He cautioned people to be wary of counterfeit products which are being displayed on the shelves by shop owners.
Mr Zulu said that people should not buy products which do not have the address of the company, manufacturing and expiry dates.
He said the commission will continue with the exercise to protect consumers.
