AIRTEL Networks Zambia has donated 1,500 books to Kabumbu Basic School in Mwansabombwe of Luapula Province.

Paramount Chief Mwata-Kazembe of the Lunda people of Luapula Province commended Airtel Networks Zambia for its continued commitment towards the education sector in his chiefdom.
Chief Mwata-Kazembe said he was touched by Airtel’s continued support not only to the education sector but the health sector as well.
“I am so impressed and touched with the way Airtel Networks Zambia has taken the stance of improving the education sector in my chiefdom,”.
“You have come back today to give the adopted school 1, 500 exercise books and surely we can only thank you and ask you to continue with your good works because as you know once you educate the children, then you would have set the bar high for the future generation,” he said.
Airtel zonal business manager Brian Chibesa who led staff to pay a courtesy call on the traditional ruler said the company would continue helping where it could as doing so would help improve people’s lives.
“Airtel is committed to changing the lives of the vulnerable in society and therefore we will improve the lives of our communities by empowering young people so that they can take advantage of opportunities of the future,” Mr Chibesa said.
Receiving the donation on school headteacher Mutale Chapewa thanked Airtel for its continued support to the school and wished the company well.
