GLAMOUR LOGO -NANCYHELLO greetings, I do hope you are well and enjoying the sun unlike I who prefers winter.
The hot season in Zambia is synonymous with a lot of braiis, summer soirees, boat cruises, and holidays.
So I know that in the past, I had written about beauty tips when you are flying but hey there are always better tips coming up right.
I recently read an article where David Tlale was giving style tips to people who travel and found it useful.
Personally I always over pack. It is a habit that I have tried to change to no success but David says that it is better to over pack than under pack because what if you get somewhere and you can’t find a jersey.
My trick is pack carry two bags one with your stuff and another one if you really intend to go shopping.
The other thing in my case is what happens if the events are casual and you carried elegant or vice versa you are better off being prepared and having an itinery in advance.
Always carry your cosmetics and products as there is no worse fate than; getting to your destination and finding that they have no lotions in their rooms or to find you are allergic to the bath products in your hotel room.
Play it safe always carry your products , am not saying you ought to pack seven shades of blush just figure out what your beauty essentials are and pack those.
Another essential is sun screen with an SPF of not lower than 15, skin cancer is very real as is sun damage.
It is not only white people so slather on some sun screen and protect yourself.
Apply a heavier moisturiser than you usually do to ensure maximum hydration so apply a cream not a liquid.
I generally prefer shea butter but some people prefer cocoa butter cream.
Carry cleansing wipes as travelling whether by flight or vehicle can dry your skin that’s due to the air conditioners which are turned on.
Wipe your face and moisturise.
If you are afraid of your face looking less flawless you can use a bb cream after you moisturise as it acts as a moisturiser and foundation.
Keep your lips moisturised as well.
Imagine going to an area and then you have a hair emergency and (especially for naturalistas) I always carry dry shampoo.
Its handy if you need to keep your hair spruced up and on point and gets rid of grime and excess dirt plus it is quite affordable.
Carry flip flops (tropical) as you cannot wear closed shoes or the time when out on holiday or travel.
Carry shades if your destination is hot or a scarf if your destination is cold.
That’s it for this week, I had announced a competition and here are the rules to stand a chance to win one of two tickets up for grabs to the Zambia Fashion Week.
