When the Children’s News Agency (CNA) released to the Press their concerns over the song Kanselele by Krummy, some people supported their complaint while others attacked them and called the children names.
Zambia is a signatory to conventions that promote children’s rights and welfare.
This gives children in this country various opportunities such as the right to access information from radio, television and other forms of media.
That is why CNA complained about lyrics that they believed infringed on children’s rights in the song mentioned above and asked the artist to re-do the song.
We are glad and thank all media houses such as Zambezi FM and Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) that have banned Kanselele on their airwaves. We are glad and appreciate that the cry by the children was heard by you.
We hope other artistess have learnt from this.
And we look forward to the new version of Kanselele.
