TORKIM Investments has pumped K10, 000 into this weekend’s Top Eight tournament to be held at Ndola Tennis Club.
Chief Executive Joackim Mumba said in an interview yesterday that his company was committed to helping raise the standards of tennis in Zambia.
The tournament will pit the top eight men players who will battle for honours from December 19-20.
“The objective of the tournament is to rank our players in the league and identify the seeded players. The total budget for the tournament is K10,000 with K7,000 going towards prizes,” Mumba said.
Meanwhile, the top eight players, who will grace this weekend’s tournament, are Edgar Kazembe, Nkumbu Chonya, Henry Banda, Eustacious Mwansa, Hector Sando, Fritchard Mulenga, Jackson Kalaba and Ricky Nyirenda.
