CHIPOLOPOLO striker Emmanuel Mayuka has left his French Ligue-Two side Metz and signed a three-year deal with Egyptian giants Zamalek.
Zamalekfans.com confirmed the deal of the Zambian star, who is now making the second move in a space of five months.
The website also indicated that Mayuka would be jetting into Cairo to join up with the rest of the Egyptian side next week from his French base.
Mayuka has already been registered for both the 2016 local league and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.
Zamalek coach Ahmed Hossam Mido is said to be an admirer of the 25-year-old Zambian and pushed for the transfer to beef up his attacking options.
“Zambian striker Mayuka has signed a three-year deal with Zamalek.
He will arrive in Cairo next week to officially join the ranks of the team.
“It was Coach Ahmed Hossam Mido who expressed admiration for the 25-year-old Mayuka to strengthen his team,” the site said.
The 2012 Africa Cup Golden Boot winner will be the second Zambian to play at Zamalek after late Fred Mwila Jnr.
Mayuka joins Zamalek from French Ligue-Two side Metz where he signed a three-year deal in August last year after he failed to hold down a starting place at English side Southampton.
The striker joins Zamalek with a record of three goals from FC Metz.
