FORMER Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba and his daughter Sibongile have been summoned to appear before the police in Lusaka.
Mr Mwamba, who is Kasama Central Member of Parliament, has been summoned to appear at the Police headquarters tomorrow while Sibongile was expected to appear today at 10:00 hours.
Police spokesperson Charity Chanda, who said she was not on duty, referred the query to her deputy, Esther Katongo whose mobile phone went unanswered.
When contacted, Mr Mwamba confirmed receiving the call-out notice but requested the police, through his lawyers, to postpone the interview to Monday next week.
“I can confirm that I have received the letter of summon but I have directed my lawyers to try and push the interview to Monday,” he said.
Mr Mwamba said he did not have an idea about why he had been summoned to appear before the police.
