THE Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has continued to sensitise pupils in the Central Province on the dangers of consuming substandard foodstuffs.
CCPC consumer protection investigator, Royd Banda said the move was also aimed at curbing the escalating levels of consumption of substandard food by the public.
Mr Banda said this when he was speaking to CCPC Bwacha Club last week.
The agency is targeting all the schools in Central Province with 18 schools in Kabwe District alone.
Mr Banda said it was inevitable that school-going children were engaged in the fight against consumption of expired foods sold from some shops and the market due to their influence on the common man.
He said among the schools where the club had been formed include Bwacha Secondary, High Ridge Secondary and Raphael Kombe Secondary schools.
