By SANDRA MWILA – MTN-FAZ premier side NAPSA stars have appointed Dominic Changwe as assistant coach to Wilson Mwale to replace Dickson Ngwenya who passed away last month. The club also announced their interest in signing Konkola Blades defender Boniface Sunzu for the 2016 football season. Club secretary Owen Chimpinde said Changwe was a coach with wide knowledge of the game and that he was a good add to the club’s technical bench. “Changwe replaces the late Dickson Ngwenya, Changwe brings to NAPSA a wealth of experience having coached among other clubs Kabwe Warriors, Forest Rangers as well as Orapa United, Tafic Sporting Club and Motlakese, all from Botswana,” Chimpinde said. Changwe’s appointment is up to the end of 2016 with his contract subject to review after that and joins the technical bench that comprises head coach Wilson Mwale, second assistant Geoffrey Hamakwenda and goal keeper trainer Samuel Banda. And on Sunzu, the Secretary said that the lanky defender was already training with them with the club in talks with Konkola Blades to sign him permanently. “Sunzu is with us, we are interested in signing him for the 2016 soccer season and we are in talks with his club but yet to conclude,” Chimpinde said. He added that Sunzu’s young brother Ngosa, who featured for the Zambia under-17 last year, has also graduated from the reserve team and will be part of the senior team this term.
