ZAMBIA is the ultimate destination for visitors because of the warmth exhibited by its people, deputy Ambassador to Sweden, Anthony Mukwita, has said.
Mr Mukwita said Zambia was the best destination for a visitor or volunteer looking for a fun-filled, warm African country.
He said this when he addressed a high school in the greater city of Stockholm, Kungsholmens Gymnasium, in a presentation titled ‘Zambia at a Glance’.
“Once you visit Zambia, you will keep going back because of the immense warmth the ordinary Zambian person exudes towards you when you  arrive,” Mr Mukwita said.
This is according to a Facebook posting on Mr Mukwita’s page.
He said students should make sure to visit the Victoria Falls in Livingstone when they visit Zambia.
He also said Zambia, under President Edgar Lungu, had shattered gender barriers and appointed several female leaders to positions of influence.
Some of them are the first female Vice-President Inonge Wina and the first Chief Justice, Ireen Mambilima.
Mr Mukwita said Sweden, being a feminist country, should be delighted to know that Mr Lungu resents gender inequalities to an extent where the political system encouraged 40 per cent of the 150 parliamentary seats.
