Bombshell-Bwalya S ChibeskundaBy SAM PHIRI –

SHE is unpredictable…does not like to be read…can explode anywhere anytime … she is Bomb$hell; taking Zambia with a surprise that befits her signature name!
Meet her off stage, and appreciate the lady she is; soft, down to earth but with high intellect capacity that does not necessitate her to sky-face in search of answers.  She is simply smart.
The 28-year-old singer whose looks are undoubtedly appealing especially when you pay attention to her sexy eyes and flawless skin says she discovered her talent at a tender age of four.
Surprisingly though, the genesis of her musical interest emanates from the love of celebrated Congolese rumba legend Tshala Muana.
“But living with brothers who were too much into rap made me change the bearing of my musical direction,” she says.
With the local influence and creativity of the late Daddy Zemus and Red Linso, Bomb$hell embraced the world of rap music, developing her own unique and captivating brand which has assured her of a bright future.
Bomb$hell, whose real names are Bwalya Sofia Chibesakunda, says her target is to hit the continental platform and earn that recognition in two years’ time.
With her first-rate and energetic stage performance, Bomb$hell says she is working hard to make sure she achieves her set goals.
She has given kudos to Chez Ntemba management for promoting Zambian artistes like her.
“The step that Chez Ntemba have taken is huge for us because we are assured of international support and platform,” she says.
With three songs still yet to be released, one wonders the impact of these tracks once they are released.
Contrary to the common way of getting to the top using beef, Bomb$hell does not believe in beef but real life, saying ‘Beef is dead meat.’
Her word of advice to the youth: “Please let’s help each other, let’s unite and promote one another’s interests”.
When she takes to the stage one would believe she is under an influence of something, which she agreed to.
“Yes, I am influenced by my fans such that I don’t understand sometimes where the energy comes from; I would ask myself after the performance… Did I just do that?” she said.
