Nkana open five point lead

LEADERS Nkana yesterday opened up a five-point lead at the summit of the MTN-FAZ Premier league table after thrashing a struggling Lime Hotspurs to extend their unbeaten run to six after this exciting encounter played at the Trade Fair grounds in Ndola.
With Konkola Blades, Nchanga Rangers and Kabwe Warriors all on 11 points after failing to win their matches on Saturday, Nkana made use of the three teams slip up to compound more misery on helpless Lime, with a just a point, to move up to 16 points.
Nkana went ahead through a 71st minute Lottie Nyimbili low shot at the edge of the box but had to wait until the 82nd minute for another substitute Patrick Chama to double the lead as Reynolds ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba wrapped up the score with a well taken strike within the box.

In the earlier kick-off Steward Chikandiwa was a hero of the day as he struck twice to move the Zambia Police sponsored side Nkwazi to seven points on the league table.
Chikwandiwa’s brace was enough for Nkwazi to condemn Forest Rangers to their fifth defeat of the season.
The first goal came in the eighth minute after Chikwandiwa strike inside the 18 yard area leaving the home fans subdued.
Forest, on three points, started attacking in search of an equaliser and their efforts were eventually rewarded in the 63rd minute when Kelvin Mwelwa came off the bench to fire home an equaliser but the home team went to bed allowing Chikandiwa to complete his brace with a flick from Bernard Mulenga’s corner kick.
