Football House CEO interviews in May

THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has set May 6 as the date for interviewing shortlisted candidates for the position of general secretary.
FAZ acting general Ssecretary Katongo Kabungo said in an interview yesterday that a committee headed by Joseph Mulenga had shortlisted applicants’ names for the general secretary position.
Kabungo said the applicants had been invited for interviews on May 6 to be held at Football house.
“The interview will be held on May 6 at Football House. The committee headed by Dr Mulenga has shortlisted candidates and will be invited for interviews,” he said.
About 50 candidates have applied for the general secretary position which fell vacant after George Kasengele resigned.
Kasengele resigned from his position on March 20 following former FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya’s defeat to Andrew Kamanga during the elective annual general meeting.
Among the notables that have applied for the position are Simataa Simataa, Ponga Liwewe, Ricky Mamfunda and Adrian Kashala.
